Graphic Design | Howl

For this class project we were tasked with redesigning a book of our choice. I choose a collection of poems called Howl by Allen Ginsberg, one of my favorite beatnik authors. We finished the project by creating physical copies of our designs

My redesign included three different poems, Howl, America, and In the Baggage Room at Greyhound

I illustrated the dust jacket for the book. I wanted to show the version of America that Allen Ginsberg wrote about. To me, Ginsberg's work makes me think of a run down diner, a place that's very American, very nostalgic, yet melancholic.
